It is important to note: If you are considering a Master of Counseling (or any specialization), MOST programs require a Bachelor’s degree. Some programs are more strict on their admissions requirements and require work experience in a counseling or related field, some require a Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology.
