The benefits of these programs include small class sizes, approachable professors, a collegial atmosphere and a focus on practical experiences.
At the master’s level, students can complete all coursework and internship experiences necessary for certification and licensure in two years. These 60-credit-hour programs may consist of elements such as 100 hours of clinical experience through a dedicated practicum, 600 hours of internship experience and intensive online discussions to help sharpen skills in counseling. The GRE may be required for incoming students.
