Wyoming MFT Programs

When gaining higher education in MFT, prospective students should look for designations by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE).

This assures that the program has been maintained with high standards set by one of the most established organizations to review degrees offered in this line of work. At this time, there are no graduate-level programs that meet the standards of COAMFTE in the state of Wyoming.

Compared to the rest of the country, Wyoming has decent salary distribution and low employment rates.

Marriage and Family Therapist Degrees in Wyoming

For residents in the state of Wyoming, there are minimal opportunities in nearby states to pursue an accredited graduate program in marriage and family therapy.

There are some opportunities in the state of Colorado, such as Colorado State University in Fort Collins. For those that cannot make the trek to one of these universities for study, there is an opportunity to pursue a program online. One example is Northcentral University, which has a campus based in California, but an online MFT program.

They offer both a Master of Arts and PhD in the MFT field, the latter being one of only two programs in the country that is accredited by the COAMFTE. Students should consider the potential for on-campus residencies that are required in the program, and that they have the technical requirements needed in order to access the school's learning management system.
