Hawaii MFT Programs

For the best higher education in the field of MFT, students should look at programs that have been designated by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE).

These Master's degrees or PhD programs have gone through rigorous review and have met high standards by an established organization. Students can trust that the curriculum they will pursue will best prepare them for evaluating and recommending treatment procedures for a diverse group of patients.

Unfortunately, at this time, there are no COAMFTE accredited programs available in the state of Hawaii, but there are online options available.

Online MFT Degrees in Hawaii

Since there are no accredited programs in the state of Hawaii, the best course of action is reviewing online programs.

There are a handful of opportunities based in the continental 48 states, with institutions such as Capella University in Minnesota and Syracuse University in New York. Students should review if there are any on-campus residencies that are required.

In these instances, students must travel to campus in order to prepare for their program and meet with faculty and other peers. They must also consider technological needs, such as a modern computer that runs on a Windows or Mac operating system, has a compatible browser to run the learning management system software, and there is high-speed internet access to view video lectures and other high-end features for online students.
